Illumio is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its Finance team in Sunnyvale, CA (4 on-site days per week). The role focuses on revenue recognition, billing, and collections processes for a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS company.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting revenue contracts under ASC 606 guidelines, collaborating with sales, legal, and operations teams on revenue recognition policies, and processing revenue allocation in specialized software tools. You will manage billing and collection processes, prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations, and lead data analysis projects on revenue recognition, billing, collections, and discounts. The role requires presenting findings and recommendations to management and proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred); 3+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology; in-depth ASC 606 knowledge; hands-on experience with ERP and revenue recognition software (RevPro, Netsuite, RecVue); strong analytical skills for interpreting complex contracts and financial data; experience with billing, collections, and accounts receivable; excellent cross-functional communication; detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Big 4 experience is preferred.
