Xendit is a Southeast Asian payment infrastructure platform processing millions of transactions monthly for SMEs and enterprises. The company provides APIs, eCommerce integrations, and applications for payments, marketplace operations, payroll disbursement, loans, KYC, and fraud prevention across SEA, Greater China, and LATAM. Founded in 2015 and backed by top-tier VCs, Xendit is among Y Combinator's fastest-growing companies.
This Senior Product Manager role owns product direction across three core surfaces of Xendit's merchant-facing platform: Billing, Transactions, and Reports. These systems enable merchants to view transaction history, understand fund flows, see billing charges, and access real-time transaction records.
Billing Responsibilities:
- Design and launch new fee models including pricing configuration, tiering logic, and phased collection mechanisms
- Own end-to-end merchant billing experience: invoice generation, payment collection methods, negative balance handling, and alignment of commercial expectations with GTM, Legal, and Finance teams
- Maintain and update merchant-facing and internal billing documentation to reflect backend billing logic changes
- Respond to and resolve merchant billing incidents, balancing urgent fixes against long-term ownership decisions
Transactions Responsibilities:
- Own the roadmap for merchant-facing transaction visibility, including Transaction Details pages and transaction lists
- Define and prioritize merchant-initiated transaction actions (e.g., refunds) in partnership with payments and payouts teams
- Benchmark against competitor platforms (Stripe, Adyen) to validate UX proposals against market expectations
- Provide deep technical consultation to engineers on technical tradeoffs, ensuring the ledger system is efficient while meeting UX requirements
Reports Responsibilities:
- Own three main reporting interfaces: Transactions, Balance History, and Billing Report
- Ensure reporting consistency across scheduled reports, exports, and billing CSVs
- Enhance reporting based on evolving Payments and Payout product requirements
- Identify gaps in reporting to support merchant financial reconciliation needs and benchmark against global standards
You will represent merchant experience and billing-accuracy concerns in cross-functional discussions spanning Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and GTM/Account Management. The role requires understanding Xendit's core ledger system (T4) and billing engine.
Recent projects include: Processing Fee implementation (fixed per-transaction attempt fee), Automatic Cash Balance Deduction (automatic invoice settlement from merchant balance), Transaction Details Page migration to Unified Transactions View, Manual Refund Initiation, and consolidated reporting support across markets.
Requirements: Not explicitly stated in the posting.
