Logixboard is building Helm, an operations platform for freight forwarders to manage complex logistics workflows. The company has hundreds of users on its insights product and has raised significant funding to expand into a full operations platform. As Senior Product Designer, you'll own the design of Helm's operations experience—a blank canvas where your work will directly determine whether the product wins in market. You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering to solve real problems for freight forwarders managing high-stakes shipments, customs documents, ETAs, and demurrage clocks across fragmented systems today. Key responsibilities include: • Discovery & Problem Definition: Sit with Product and Engineering to identify and validate customer problems. Conduct customer interviews with real freight forwarders, analyze workflows, and surface gaps and edge cases early. • Solution Design: Translate complex logistics workflows into intuitive experiences. Explore multiple approaches, show rough work early, and converge on direction using customer feedback, technical constraints, and business goals. • Craft & Systems Thinking: Deliver polished work where it matters most (layout, information architecture, interaction detail). Evolve the design system, champion consistency, and balance shipping speed with long-term health. • AI Integration: Design how AI features (draft updates, extract data, flag risks) show up in workflows in ways that feel trustworthy and in-control. Use modern AI tools in your own practice to move faster. • Implementation Partnership: Create handoffs that carry both spec and intent. Build prototypes and documentation that make expected behavior unambiguous, and stay close to engineers through shipping. You'll thrive if you enjoy solving problems more than polishing pixels, bring multiple concepts to discussions, think deeply about journeys and edge cases, seek feedback early, and care about consistency across the entire product. This role is not a fit if you prefer a tidy assembly-line process, are uncomfortable having your decisions challenged, prefer narrow scope, or need certainty before forming opinions. Ideal candidates have 5–8+ years designing complex B2B SaaS products (workflow-heavy or data-dense), a portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and craft, a track record of partnering tightly with Product and Engineering, and strong communication skills. Bonus experience includes logistics/supply chain software, customer-facing portals, design system scaling, AI-assisted design tools, and early-stage startup exposure.
