ICON builds robotic systems for multi-story construction and holds over $360M in government contracts across the Army, Air Force, DARPA, and NASA. The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting owns the recurring, high-volume operational close that transforms daily activity into accurate, audit-ready financials.
You will lead the corporate accounting function across accounts payable and accruals, leases, fixed assets, payroll, and the general ledger. You build, structure, and lead the team running these processes, including subordinate supervisors and senior professionals as the function scales. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, you establish policies, procedures, and controls that scale with headcount and entity growth, own the corporate accounting department's budget and performance, and deliver books that are accurate, timely, and useful to management.
Key responsibilities include directing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all corporate accounting workstreams; owning the general ledger and chart of accounts; managing capitalized software accounting; overseeing payroll and benefits accounting; leading the accounts payable function and procure-to-pay cycle; owning lease accounting under ASC 842; managing the fixed asset subledger; establishing and enforcing internal controls; setting the roadmap for NetSuite optimization and automation; building and supervising the corporate accounting team; holding accountability for the department budget; serving as a trusted partner to People Operations, Procurement, Facilities, and FP&A; and directing corporate accounting deliverables for external audit.
Minimum qualifications: 8+ years of accounting experience with strong foundation in general ledger, close management, and operational accounting; 3+ years of people management experience including managing experienced professionals (managing supervisors or leads is a plus); CPA required.
