Parallel is a web infrastructure company that enables leading businesses to build AI agents with programmatic access to the web. The company has raised $230M from top-tier VCs (Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, Terrain) and is valued at $2B. As Senior Manager of Accounting, you will own the accounting function end-to-end. Responsibilities include month-end close and financial reporting, technical accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance. You'll manage multi-entity accounting as the company scales internationally, own relationships with external accounting, tax, and audit partners, and drive systems and ERP decisions that support rapid growth. Key partnerships include revenue leadership and the finance lead on quote-to-cash improvements and billing operations. You'll build processes and infrastructure that allow the accounting function to scale efficiently. Required qualifications: 8+ years of accounting experience at a high-growth technology company with a track record of increasing functional ownership. Deep expertise in US GAAP, technical accounting, and SaaS revenue recognition. Comfortable with multi-entity and international operations, transfer pricing, and inter-company accounting. Strong understanding of billing systems and revenue operations to partner directly with commercial teams. You're a builder who designs systems rather than just operating them, and you maintain attention to detail as scope expands. Bonus qualifications: ERP migration experience or SQL proficiency to independently answer analytical questions. Parallel operates a flat, talent-dense organization with offices in Palo Alto (HQ) and San Francisco, requiring full in-person work. The company emphasizes ownership of customer impact, craft excellence, rapid execution, creative problem-solving, and high-conviction decision-making.
