Klaviyo is seeking a Senior MarTech & AI Solutions Architect for a hands-on individual contributor role with deep ownership of marketing technology architecture. You will design and build the end-to-end architecture of how marketing data moves through systems—from lead intake through conversion and insights—embedding AI and automation directly into that journey. You'll architect and own a centralized marketing hub spanning the full marketing lifecycle: budget allocation and planning, campaign execution, and using performance insights to accelerate planning cycles and improve ROI. This role carries high ownership and visibility; you'll be the architect who understands how every system connects, why it's built that way, and where it needs to evolve next. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build AI-powered marketing capabilities into systems, from generative AI use cases to predictive scoring and intent-based automation that accelerate the intake-to-conversion journey - Serve as the technical owner of how marketing systems integrate with one another, proactively catching data breaks or logic conflicts and implementing architectural solutions to support business growth - Build and connect an ecosystem that accelerates customer journeys through personalization across the funnel, leveraging behavioral, product, and intent signals - Turn performance data and business requirements into architecture and process improvements that shorten planning cycles and improve marketing ROI - Partner cross-functionally with Lifecycle, Marketing Analytics, Sales Ops, and other technical teams to align system architecture with business needs - Perform solution architecture reviews and serve as a critical advisor on technical design decisions, flagging trade-offs and ensuring alignment across systems, teams, and outcomes - Build and own a centralized marketing hub spanning budget allocation, campaign execution, and the feedback loop that turns performance insights into faster planning cycles Klaviyo empowers creators to own their destiny by making first-party data accessible and actionable. The company is committed to building personalized experiences in ecommerce and beyond, with a focus on responsible AI use including privacy, security, bias awareness, and human-in-the-loop practices. Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in MarTech with demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale system architecture—not just implementing tools, but architecting how data, process, and strategy connect across the full marketing lifecycle - Hands-on experience designing and building AI-powered marketing capabilities, from generative AI use cases to predictive scoring and intent-based automation that solve real marketing problems - Deep experience architecting HubSpot, Salesforce, and in-house systems at scale, including lead scoring, lifecycle automation, customer journey and personalization, campaign/opportunity data models, and cross-system data association - Strong understanding of marketing budgeting, planning cycles, and ROI measurement—able to connect spend data directly to performance outcomes through architectural decisions - Experience building scalable integrations using APIs and middleware across marketing systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa) - Proven track record contributing to vendor evaluation and platform implementation for enterprise organizations - Natural cross-functional partner—able to sit with cross-functional teams, translate their requirements into system architecture, and be the technical advisor they trust - Excellent communication and documentation skills Note: This role may require up to 10% travel for new hire onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events.
