True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment and counter threats. We're seeking an experienced industrial designer to join our new hardware design team at a critical early stage.
This is a fully hands-on role with no management responsibilities. You'll be sketching, modeling, prototyping, and detailing real hardware that will fly on-orbit and be presented to the highest levels of government and military. You'll work directly with design leadership and engineers, in a team built for people who care deeply about both craft and mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking hardware from concept through production: sketch, model, prototype, refine, and detail
- Collaborating directly with engineering teams to translate design into buildable systems
- Establishing design language for an emerging industry with no legacy playbook
- Contributing to products that will have real impact on space security
This role offers the opportunity to shape how space security hardware is perceived and presented at a foundational moment. Your work will carry genuine weight—some designs will reach orbit, others will be seen by senior government and military leadership. You'll have autonomy over your craft with direct influence on meaningful national security technology.
The company values creativity, challenging assumptions, and collaborative teamwork. This is positioned as highly meaningful work in an industry devoted to protecting national interests.
