Tenstorrent is a cutting-edge AI technology company building high-performance RISC-V CPUs and AI platforms. They are seeking a Senior In-House Counsel to own key legal functions and serve as a hands-on partner across the organization. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of legal areas supporting the business, guiding teams through the entire contract lifecycle—from intake and drafting through negotiation, execution, and ongoing management. You will minimize legal and compliance risk while serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors. You will independently own competing priorities across commercial contracting, data privacy and security, compliance, and broader business matters. You will build the processes and playbooks that help the business move quickly and confidently in a fast-paced startup environment. Key responsibilities include: - Managing end-to-end commercial contracting across MSAs, SOWs, software and technology licenses, SaaS and cloud services agreements, NDAs, data processing and AI addenda, marketing arrangements, and vendor/supplier agreements - Creating templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and CLM workflows that enable Sales, Channel, and Supply Chain to scale without legal bottlenecks - Drafting and negotiating supply chain and manufacturing agreements, including foundry, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics agreements - Advising on global data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues under frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and APPI - Providing practical legal advice across functions including Leadership, Engineering, Product, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Security, IT, People, and Operations - Designing legal infrastructure and policies for regional and global consistency The role is hybrid or remote and can be based in Santa Clara, CA; Boston, MA; Toronto, ON; or Austin, TX. REQUIREMENTS: - JD and active state bar membership - 5+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department - Experience in technology, semiconductor, hardware, chip manufacturing, or supplier environment strongly preferred - Demonstrated experience drafting, structuring, negotiating, executing, and managing complex commercial agreements across the full contract lifecycle - Experience with supply chain and manufacturing agreements (foundry, manufacturing, procurement, supply, logistics, 3PL) - Experience advising on global data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues - Exceptional negotiation and organizational skills with cross-functional partnership experience
