Illumio, a leader in ransomware and breach containment, is seeking a Senior HRIS Applications Analyst to serve as a Workday subject matter expert. This role is part of the Business Applications team within IT and will take lead in designing and building solutions to optimize the HR system.
You will configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules including Core HCM, Absence Management, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, and Time Tracking. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving Workday operational issues, partnering cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Benefits, and IT teams to resolve system and process issues, and providing production support including ticket triage and end-user assistance.
You will partner with business stakeholders to provision access, create custom reports and dashboards, and support inbound/outbound integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connectors, and Workday Studio. Additional responsibilities include supporting yearly advanced compensation cycles, US Open Enrollment configuration, managing change efforts through documentation and training, and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
The ideal candidate operates independently with general guidance, manages complex issues, and influences outcomes through expertise and consultative communication. You will establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, provide informal mentoring to peers on Workday functionality, and help drive consistency and standardization across HR workflows.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of HRIS experience with hands-on Workday configuration at global scale, demonstrated expertise supporting multiple Workday modules, in-depth knowledge of Workday foundational concepts and business processes, strong experience with Workday integration tools (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs), and proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services. Experience with integration middleware (Boomi, Workato) and Workday Pro Certification are pluses. The role emphasizes AI-native thinking and curiosity about leveraging AI tools like Workday Agents and Co-Pilot to improve processes.
