As Senior HR Generalist, you will be the operational hub of the People Team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, HRBP. You will balance tactical HR execution with strategic workforce planning to create an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Workforce Strategy: Partner with People leadership on HR strategy execution and workforce planning that supports organizational growth and talent development.
- Guide Employee Relations: Autonomously manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, draft documentation, and coach managers on performance feedback delivery.
- Leave Administration Expertise: Serve as SME for leave-of-absence requests, manage vendor relationships, coordinate with payroll, and ensure compliance with ADA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- HR Operations & Compliance: Conduct HR record audits, draft employment documentation, manage unemployment claims, and ensure adherence to state and federal labor laws including FLSA.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with payroll team on regulatory reporting and W-2 preparation; provide backup coverage for essential payroll processing.
- Workplace Culture: Serve as accessible People Team presence on-site, drive engagement initiatives, coordinate team events, and support day-to-day employee inquiries.
- Process Optimization: Identify friction in HR workflows and leverage technology and data to streamline operations.
This is an on-site role requiring regular in-person attendance. You will work in a professional office environment with computer-based work, occasional local/international travel, and flexibility for cross-time-zone collaboration.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, ideally in fast-paced, process-oriented, or regulated environments
- Strong foundation in employment law (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA) with keen attention to detail for HR audits
- Ability to handle sensitive employee situations with fairness, discretion, and sound judgment
- Highly organized with ability to manage HRIS data administration, event logistics, and leave audits simultaneously
- Track record of helping leaders develop management skills and navigate difficult conversations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex HR processes clearly
