Salient builds AI agents for regulated financial services, automating loan servicing, compliance, collections, recovery, insurance claims, and disputes for banks and specialty lenders. You will join as Senior Finance & Operations Associate reporting to the Head of Business Operations. This role owns Salient's day-to-day financial operations and builds scalable internal processes to support rapid growth.
Key responsibilities include: supporting monthly close, reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis; managing invoicing, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and reimbursements; maintaining accurate records in QuickBooks and managing daily activity in Ramp; tracking company spend and identifying cost savings opportunities; managing vendor contracts, renewals, subscriptions, and procurement; coordinating business insurance, audits, compliance documentation; building and improving finance and operations processes using AI and automation; and partnering across teams to maintain financial and operational workflow efficiency.
You bring 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, business operations, consulting, or corporate development. You hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable with spreadsheets and financial reporting. You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, take high ownership, and are excited to work in person in a startup setting. Experience with QuickBooks, Ramp, invoicing, accounts payable, budgeting, procurement, or startup finance is a plus.
The team typically works around 60 hours per week, beginning at 8:00 AM, with four days collaborating in person at the San Francisco office. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k), and catered lunches.
