Perplexity AI is seeking an experienced Executive Sourcer to partner with senior leadership and recruiting teams in building a world-class talent organization. This role goes beyond traditional sourcing—it requires operational excellence, deep AI industry knowledge, and the ability to craft compelling narratives that attract top technical talent.
You will research, identify, and engage senior engineering and technical leaders (managers through C-suite) across multiple disciplines. Using advanced research, organizational talent mapping, referrals, AI-assisted automation, and creative outreach, you'll build credible candidate slates for hard-to-fill leadership roles. You'll work closely with Leadership Recruiters and executives to understand role charters, calibrate candidate profiles with precision, and push back when market realities suggest scope or level misalignment.
A key part of this role is conducting discreet, peer-level outreach that generates responses from passive leaders—the kind of confidential searches that require both credibility and discretion. You'll track and analyze pipeline data (coverage, response rates, conversion by segment, pass reasons) to continuously optimize search strategies and outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional technical literacy—comfortable in complex technical conversations, parsing nuanced skill sets, and understanding software and AI architecture. You have proven experience sourcing senior talent in dynamic, fast-paced environments where priorities shift and ambiguity is constant. You're a builder with an instinct for AI: eager to adopt new tools, automate your own workflow, and experiment with how AI can make sourcing faster and sharper.
You combine creativity and resilience, designing novel sourcing strategies and adapting quickly when faced with challenges. You communicate exceptionally well, with the credibility to hold peer-level conversations with senior leaders and build trust with both candidates and internal partners.
