Bevi is a venture-backed IoT beverage technology company on a mission to eliminate single-use bottles and cans through connected beverage machines. With over $160M in funding, thousands of customers across the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland, and a track record of preventing over 1 billion bottles from waste, Bevi is rapidly scaling its product line.
You will lead the design function as Senior Director of Product & Experience Design, owning both industrial design and UI/UX design disciplines. This is a craft and leadership role in equal measure. You'll shape how Bevi products look, feel, and work—from the physical machine hardware to the digital interfaces that guide users through their beverage selection. Your team will ensure consistency across both physical and digital touchpoints, making every interaction unmistakably Bevi.
Key responsibilities include:
**Design Vision & Craft**: Define and maintain a coherent design language across hardware and digital products. Set the bar for craft quality and be hands-on in raising standards. Own color, material, and finish (CMF) standards for hardware in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations. Bring strategic perspective to design decisions and guide the executive team through design principles.
**End-to-End Product Experience**: Own how drinkers, clients, and service partners experience Bevi products across the entire journey. Treat user experience as the engine of product love, driving repeat usage and growth. Design for all stakeholders—end users, clients placing machines, and technicians servicing them.
**Team Leadership**: Manage and grow a team of Industrial Designers and UI/UX Designers. Coach designers on craft and career development while keeping both disciplines aligned to a unified vision. Build a scalable team that grows with Bevi's product roadmap.
**Cross-Functional Partnership**: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing. Translate roadmap priorities into design direction and push back when plans don't align with design integrity. Represent design in product strategy conversations early, not just at execution.
**Systems & Scalability**: Build and maintain design systems that enable fast iteration without sacrificing consistency. Establish clear standards and processes for design review, approval, and execution.
This role reports to the VP of Product and sits on the extended product leadership team. As Bevi's design function grows, there is room for this role to expand in scope and influence.
