Zscaler is seeking a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to join the Network Infrastructure team, reporting to the Datacenter Deployment Manager. This hybrid role is based in Singapore and focuses on expanding and optimizing Zscaler's global cloud security network through hardware provisioning, infrastructure maintenance, and deployment process optimization.
In this role, you will:
- Provision new hardware and network devices in staging environments to expand the global network
- Troubleshoot issues within build environments and repair or replace server and network components
- Collaborate with maintenance, network, install, and platform engineering teams to execute and validate build activities
- Optimize data center deployment processes and workflows
- Visit the Singapore integration center as needed to manage physical infrastructure and validate staging readiness
You will work with bare metal hardware and infrastructure at scale, translating cloud workload requirements to physical platform specifications. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep understanding of server configurations, network devices, and their impact on platform performance.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 7-10 years of experience in hardware automation or build environments
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging or securing AI-driven solutions
- Experience translating cloud workload requirements to bare metal platform specifications
- Deep understanding of various server types, network devices, configurations, and physical connectivity and their influence on platform performance
- Experience with Linux/Unix command line, BIOS, and out-of-band management solutions (ILO, SAA, iDRAC, IPMI)
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with AI-driven predictive telemetry or automation tools for hardware diagnostics and data center provisioning
- Basic scripting in BASH or Python with virtualization experience (KVM, Proxmox)
- Familiarity with build automation technologies (Ansible, PXE boot) and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence)
