Hims & Hers, a leading public health and wellness platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking a Senior Counsel for Employment to help scale its legal function globally. This role combines two mandates: building scalable global employment programs, policies, and infrastructure while serving as the primary legal partner for day-to-day employment matters across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. You will report to the Managing Counsel, Employment and partner closely with HR, People, Litigation, and business leaders. Key responsibilities include: providing pragmatic legal guidance on employment matters across APAC and EMEA; advising on the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance management, leaves, accommodations, separations) tailored to local jurisdictions; designing and building scalable global programs including template libraries, playbooks, and policies to enable rapid market entry while managing risk; leading cross-border projects such as market entry, reorganizations, and M&A integration; conducting and overseeing internal investigations and partnering on employment disputes; monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into practical compliance guidance; drafting and localizing employment agreements, handbooks, and separation documents for multiple jurisdictions; advising on global immigration and visa matters including UK and EU sponsorship; partnering on compensation and benefits compliance; driving compliance audits on wage/hour, pay equity, and worker classification; delivering training on labor law developments; and using data to identify systemic workforce risks. Required qualifications: J.D. or equivalent law degree with active bar admission (U.S. state bar, England & Wales, Australian solicitor/barrister, or equivalent); 7+ years of employment law experience post-law school combining law firm and in-house practice with substantial APAC and/or EMEA experience; demonstrated experience navigating multi-jurisdictional employment issues at fast-growing global companies; track record of building or scaling employment law programs; comfort advising outside home jurisdiction and coordinating outside counsel networks; excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; sound judgment and ability to work autonomously through ambiguity; English fluency required; proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Tagalog, or Japanese is a strong plus.
