Infinitum Electric, a growing manufacturing company, is hiring a Corporate Counsel to join its legal team in Austin, Texas. This is a hands-on, high-volume role reporting to the General Counsel, combining contract lifecycle management, legal operations development, and corporate compliance.
Key responsibilities include managing contract intake and triage from business stakeholders, drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial agreements (supply agreements, customer contracts, IP-related agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts), and partnering with sales, supply chain, engineering, and other teams to translate business needs into sound legal terms. You'll identify and escalate legal and business risks in proposed terms.
The role also involves building out the legal operations function: managing and improving contract intake workflows, administering contract lifecycle management (CLM) and legal ops tools, maintaining contract templates and playbooks, and tracking metrics on contract volume and turnaround times.
Corporate compliance responsibilities include managing entity maintenance (formation, good standing, dissolution), handling state registrations and foreign qualifications, filing annual reports across jurisdictions, and monitoring regulatory compliance.
You'll provide practical legal guidance to internal business partners on day-to-day commercial matters and support the General Counsel on ad hoc projects.
Required qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar license; approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience (mix of law firm and in-house preferred); substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements; familiarity with corporate entity maintenance and multi-state compliance; excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; strong business judgment; ability to manage high volume independently in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented and organized.
Preferred: in-house experience at a manufacturing, industrial, or technology company; prior legal operations or contract intake system experience.
