Hopper is seeking a Workforce Experience Specialist to lead employee experience operations at its Montreal headquarters while contributing to global HR system improvements. This hybrid role (1-2 days/week in-office) sits at the heart of HTS's (Hopper Technology Solutions) AI-driven approach to designing systems and experiences that support its own teams.
Key responsibilities include: coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with IT, payroll, talent acquisition, and hiring managers; managing employee recognition programs including Carrot Cash and other incentive initiatives; planning engagement activities, social events, and workplace experiences that strengthen Montreal office culture; overseeing daily workplace operations including facilities, vendor relationships, mail, and office logistics; coordinating WeWork memberships and workspace access; producing recurring HR operations reports on attrition, onboarding/offboarding metrics, exit insights, and compensation cycle support; creating dashboards that transform employee feedback and operational data into actionable trends; identifying and implementing automation opportunities in HR operations using AI and tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make, or n8n; collaborating across HR operations, IT, payroll, talent acquisition, business systems, and finance teams; and serving as the primary HR operations contact for Montreal-based employees and local vendors.
Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years of HR operations, human resources, employee experience, or workplace operations experience with a track record of managing multiple priorities in fast-moving environments. You should be analytically minded, using data (attrition trends, engagement feedback, process metrics) to drive decisions rather than simply report them. Genuine curiosity about AI and interest in applying automation tools to simplify HR work is essential. Strong cross-departmental relationship skills, comfort coordinating with IT, payroll, talent acquisition, and finance on key employee lifecycle moments, and a continuous improvement mindset are required. HRIS platform experience (Rippling, Workday, BambooHR) or supporting hybrid/globally distributed teams is a plus.
Fluency in Quebec French (native or near-native) and professional English proficiency are mandatory, as you'll support employees and vendors in both languages daily as Montreal's primary HR operations presence. You'll communicate regularly with colleagues, managers, clients, vendors, and business partners outside Quebec and consult documentation and systems in both languages.
