Third Wave Automation is a rapidly growing Series C-funded startup applying machine learning to materials handling, delivering site-specific forklift navigation and infrastructure-free pallet handling. The company is seeking a Sourcing Recruiter to be the primary engine driving candidate pipeline development.
In this role, you will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to identify, engage, and activate top-tier passive candidates in highly competitive talent pools including Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, AI/ML, and Embedded Systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively source, engage, and nurture passive candidate pipelines for skilled roles across Engineering, Product, and Customer Success organizations
- Conduct deep-dive talent research and market mapping across robotics startups, autonomous vehicle companies, deep-tech research hubs, and tier-one engineering organizations
- Integrate AI sourcing tools, automation platforms, and LLMs into daily sourcing workflows to personalize outreach at scale
- Collaborate directly with engineering and cross-functional leads to calibrate target profiles, refine job requirements, and deliver actionable talent market insights
- Craft hyper-personalized outreach strategies that articulate the company's tech stack, culture, and value proposition
- Champion equitable sourcing practices to build diverse candidate slates
- Track conversion rates, outreach velocity, and channel efficiency to continuously refine sourcing strategy
Required qualifications: 3+ years of dedicated technical talent sourcing experience in fast-growing tech startups, agencies, or hardware/software companies. Proven success sourcing hard-to-fill technical roles in Robotics, C++, SLAM, Sensor Processing, AI/ML, Embedded Systems, or Edge Computing. Mastery of LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Boolean search syntax, X-ray searches, and niche tech communities. Experience with modern AI productivity and sourcing tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, automated outbound tools). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with consultative outreach style. Ability to pivot quickly in a rapid-growth startup environment.
Preferred: Prior experience in Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, Industrial Automation, or Hardware-Software integration. Familiarity with modern recruiting technology stacks including Greenhouse ATS, candidate sourcing CRMs, and data analytics dashboards. Experience sourcing across both technical and non-technical domains.
