Sofar Ocean builds sensors and software that make the ocean measurable, from Spotter buoys tracking waves and weather to Wayfinder optimizing vessel routes. The company is a lean, mission-driven team of approximately 100 people focused on ocean health and climate sustainability.
As Sourcing Partner, you will lead talent acquisition efforts for Sofar Ocean, identifying and engaging top-tier talent in maritime and climate tech. You will partner closely with the People Team and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and source candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is Sofar Ocean's first dedicated sourcing role, offering significant ownership and strategic influence over talent strategy.
You bring 6+ years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience, ideally in startup or fast-paced environments. You have deep understanding of technical roles and skills, with a proven track record sourcing for both technical and industry-specialist positions simultaneously. You excel at proactive candidate engagement, building long-term relationships, and are comfortable with Boolean search, ATS tools (Ashby), and creative sourcing channels beyond LinkedIn.
You are results-driven, thriving in metrics-focused environments and motivated by sourcing goals. You operate independently with minimal hand-holding, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a growing company. You are passionate about Sofar Ocean's mission to connect the world's oceans and make a real impact on planetary health.
