Impulse is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for spacecraft hardware and materials production. This role bridges procurement, operations, and engineering to ensure reliable supply chain execution for mission-critical components.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct comprehensive sourcing risk analysis by evaluating spend profiles, market trends, lead times, and supplier capabilities; develop proactive mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions.
• Lead end-to-end vendor onboarding and develop a supplier tiering framework aligned with regulatory and internal standards, including AS9100 certification and ITAR compliance.
• Drive sourcing strategy for indirect spend categories (ground support equipment, tooling) in collaboration with inventory and operations teams to optimize costs and align with program schedules.
• Define and measure supplier SLAs and KPIs across delivery, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness; partner with planning teams to consolidate cross-program demand and identify preferred sourcing partnerships.
• Execute high-volume RFQs, negotiate favorable supplier terms, and ensure technical and compliance requirements are met in coordination with quality assurance.
• Perform quantitative and business process analyses to identify cost improvements and financial impacts; lead annual cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) in PLM and ERP systems in alignment with design changes and production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate logistics for outsourced parts and drop shipments, and ensure on-time delivery against PO promise dates.
• Oversee receipt accuracy against purchase orders and vendor invoices for accurate financial tracking.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials, or related field; 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, logistics, and vendor management; 5+ years with ERP or inventory management systems.
