Salary: EUR 68,000 - 90,000 / annual
Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineering Specialist to support customers throughout their identity and access management (IAM) journey. In this role, you will partner with the sales team as the technical counterpart, helping organizations solve complex identity challenges through live demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept (POC) design and execution.
You will engage with diverse audiences—developers, product managers, and senior executives—across various industries, focusing on Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions. Your responsibilities include supporting customers through discovery, validation, proposal, and due diligence phases; demonstrating the value of Auth0 and the broader Okta platform; designing outcome-driven POCs; and helping customers understand how Okta fits into their existing architectures and use cases. You will also develop growing expertise in identity, security, and emerging technologies, stay current with industry trends, and occasionally represent Okta at local and regional events as a speaker and attendee.
This is a hybrid role based in Dublin with an expectation of 3-4 days per week office presence. You will be part of a global organization spanning over 20 offices, with an emphasis on connection, innovation, and mission-driven work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences
- Interest in Identity and Access Management, cloud technologies, and security concepts
- Familiarity with modern development environments or programming concepts
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn technical topics on the job
- Fluency in English
- 3-4 days per week office presence in Dublin
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with customers in any capacity (sales, consulting, support, project management, university projects with stakeholders)
- Presales experience, including internships or university programs
- Understanding of identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, FIDO, SCIM, LDAP)
- Understanding of identity-related cybersecurity topics (phishing, MFA bypass attacks, privilege escalation)
- Hands-on software development experience
- Fluency in an additional European language (Dutch, French, or German preferred)
