Attio is a Series B AI-powered CRM platform designed for go-to-market teams, backed by GV, Redpoint, Balderton, Point Nine, and 01A. The company has raised $116M and is building tools that help ambitious GTM teams understand customers, automate at scale, and customize their revenue motion.
You will lead Attio's Solutions Engineering function as it scales from an early-stage team into a global, mature organization. This is a foundational people-manager hire focused on building process, consistency, and excellence across the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Hire, coach, and manage a team of SMB and Mid-Market Solutions Engineers, setting the bar for technical evaluations and onboarding quality
- Partner with Account Executives and AE Managers on deal strategy, joint discovery, and pipeline ownership; serve as executive sponsor on large deals
- Own and scale the onboarding framework as the company moves upmarket, ensuring consistency and quality
- Build and champion enablement programs: demo environments, POC frameworks, playbooks, AI tooling, automation, and training materials
- Represent customer and prospect feedback cross-functionally to Product and Engineering teams
- Champion Solutions Engineers as true partners to sales throughout the deal cycle, owning product evaluation and architecture design
The role bridges pre-sales technical evaluation (discovery, custom demos, architecture design, POCs) and post-sale onboarding (data model design, data migration, GTM stack integration, workspace configuration, end-user training). You'll operate in both deal-critical and customer-success-adjacent environments.
Attio's differentiation lies in its ability to adapt to each customer's unique GTM motion, placing Solutions Engineers at the forefront of driving value, adoption, and retention.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–5 years as an individual-contributor Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant at a B2B SaaS company, with exposure to both pre-sales and post-sale/onboarding work
- 2+ years directly managing a team of Solutions or Sales Engineers
- Proven track record building process and enablement for growing teams, innovating as product and GTM motions evolve
- Strong technical and data fluency across traditional no- and low-code SaaS ecosystems, including data model design, APIs, integrations, and ability to coach SEs on these concepts
- Passionate technologist, builder, and learner, especially in AI; expected to continually push the bounds of what's possible using the product, AI, and other tools in the evolving GTM toolkit
- Clear experience working cross-functionally on strategic projects
- Comfort operating in both pre-sales, deal-critical environments and post-sale, customer-success-adjacent ones
- Experience with CRM or broader GTM tooling is a strong plus
