Partly is building AI infrastructure for the global repair industry, starting with automotive. The company has developed Interpreter, a proprietary foundation model trained on 52+ OEM manufacturer agreements to understand vehicle damage and parts requirements at scale. Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, Partly recently closed a $50M Series B at $500M valuation and is expanding across UK, Europe, US, and Australasia.
This is a forward-deployed solutions engineering role focused on European expansion, particularly the UK and Nordics. You will be the technical engine behind new-market deals, turning complex real-world problems into signed pilots and demonstrating differentiated AI to repair industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical path from first customer conversation to signed pilot across UK and Nordic markets: scope integrations, map workflows, and remove technical blockers
- Build integrations that enable pilots, including connections to estimating systems (e.g., CABAS) and custom client-facing interfaces
- Create market demos and experimental features that prove Partly's capabilities before core engineering commitment
- Conduct Technical Readiness Assessments mapping customer systems and pilot requirements
- Develop value proposition frameworks, calculators, and reporting dashboards that quantify customer value
- Translate recurring deal blockers into prioritized product requirements for the Product team
- Coordinate cross-functionally across Sales, Product, and Engineering to solve customer problems and maintain deal momentum
You'll work with two connected layers: Partly.com (B2B infrastructure for parts data, cataloging, and procurement across 100+ integrations) and Partly.ai (AI tool for repairers built on that infrastructure). Both leverage Interpreter's proprietary foundation model for automotive parts accuracy.
The role offers real ownership from day one, proximity to founders and the frontier model, and the opportunity to shape product development for new markets in a $1.9 trillion industry barely touched by modern software.
Requirements:
- Comfortable working close to data and code: can write SQL, read and debug codebases, and build demos/prototypes independently
- Strong technical problem-solver and systems thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into root causes and generalizable solutions
- Commercially minded with ability to understand how technical decisions affect deals and build business cases
- Excellent communicator who builds rapport with customers and translates between customer needs and internal teams
- Self-directed with high ownership; comfortable being the sole solutions person in a market
- Preferred: experience in solutions engineering, forward-deployed roles, or technical pre-sales, ideally with enterprise customers
- Bonus: background in automotive, parts, insurance, estimating, or building integrations against complex external data formats
