Fieldguide is automating and streamlining assurance and audit work for cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audits—building software that enables trust between businesses in global commerce and capital markets. As a Solutions Engineer, Advisory, you will be the primary solution lead for customers and prospects across all markets, working with some of the nation's top enterprise firms. This is a highly visible pre-sales role critical to Fieldguide's customer acquisition strategy.
You will partner closely with Account Executives to understand prospect challenges and articulate Fieldguide's value proposition and strategy. You'll build credibility with technical champions at prospect companies, lead product demonstrations that convey value and industry best practices, and manage all phases of the sales cycle including technical validations during Proof of Value phases. Your work directly increases sales velocity and contributes to closing enterprise deals.
Key responsibilities include: conducting organized discovery sessions to uncover customer needs and requirements tied to decision criteria and business issues; presenting and demonstrating the product persuasively based on key messages and competitive positioning; managing customer questions and objections; partnering with Customer Success on complex enterprise onboarding; collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Design teams on deal strategies and technical problem-solving; engaging with product management to influence the roadmap based on prospect and customer insights; creating content and trainings for key areas; and providing leadership to the extended team.
You'll work in a remote-first environment based in San Francisco, with the flexibility to work from anywhere while maintaining a collaborative, inclusive culture focused on supporting each other's growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of hands-on customer-facing enterprise solutions engineering experience with demonstrated success persuading and influencing SaaS deals
- 2+ years of experience in risk advisory or assurance (required)
- Experience presenting product demonstrations to C-suite executives while maintaining poise and confidence
- Intrinsically motivated to exceed goals; comfortable with ambitious targets
- Executive presence with excellent speaking and presentation skills; savvy in networking within complex business situations
- Sales process and infrastructure experience with strong working knowledge of at least one leading CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Team player with mission-first mindset
- Preferred: Industry knowledge of assurance and advisory services with exposure to cybersecurity or regulatory standards
