MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform used by 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo to reduce unplanned downtime and optimize operations across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
You will be the integration specialist for operational technology (OT) on the Solutions Consulting team, working alongside Sales, Implementation, and Product. Your core responsibility is owning the technical story for every deal where a customer's machines, sensors, and control systems need to connect to MaintainX.
Key responsibilities:
- Run OT discovery with operations and controls teams, mapping their data sources to the appropriate connector (Ignition, Kepware, MQTT, wireless vibration) to clarify scope before deal close
- Deliver live demos of OT connectors using the prospect's own equipment and data so buyers see their actual plant in MaintainX
- Jointly scope integrations with Implementation and Professional Services to ensure every integration is sold with the right services and launches as promised
- Partner with Solutions Architects on custom OT work beyond pre-built connectors, delivering clear technical briefs
- Log recurring integration requests as product feedback to inform the connector roadmap
- Work daily with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, Implementation, Product, and R&D; coach sellers on when to engage you
- Manage a customer portfolio primarily in English-speaking markets (US/English Canada) with daily verbal and written communication in English
- Travel for customer on-sites as needed
Within six months, you become the first call on every OT conversation. Within twelve months, the connectors you've demoed are live at customers and your feedback has shaped the product roadmap.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-haves:
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, implementation, integrations, or similar)
- Real exposure to manufacturing or industrial operations and how work gets done on the plant floor
- Experience designing or supporting API-based integrations, data workflows, or automation
- Working knowledge of OT data sources such as SCADA, historians, PLCs, or industrial gateways
- Ability to explain data flows to both operations managers and IT leads in the same meeting, adjusting communication to each audience
- Experience running multiple evaluations simultaneously while maintaining technical accuracy
Nice-to-haves:
- Hands-on experience with Ignition, Kepware, MQTT, or OPC UA
- Experience with integration tools such as Workato, Boomi, Tray.io, or Zapier, or ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Background in condition-based or predictive maintenance
