Salary: USD 230,000 - 280,000 / annual

As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will own the technical side of the sales cycle for enterprise accounts. Your primary responsibility is designing production-scale architectures that satisfy data platform engineers, architects, SREs, and executive stakeholders, then proving feasibility through benchmarks and POCs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical evaluations from discovery through POC, competitive bake-offs, architecture sign-off, security review, and first production deployment
- Designing solutions for production scale: sizing, sharding, replication strategy, ingestion topology, tiered storage, cost modeling, and failure scenarios
- Winning competitive displacements against Elasticsearch, Splunk, Snowflake, BigQuery, Druid, Pinot, and homegrown systems using reproducible benchmarks
- Owning migration plans including sequencing, dual-run validation, and cutover strategies
- Navigating security and procurement: questionnaires, compliance artifacts, network/identity architecture, BYOC and private deployment requirements
- Partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to close deals and build TCO cases
- Advocating for customer needs internally with Product and Engineering teams
- Contributing reference architectures, benchmark harnesses, migration guides, and objection handling materials
Required qualifications:
- Deep technical foundation in data infrastructure from experience as data engineer, platform engineer, software engineer, DBA, or solutions architect
- Production experience operating analytical databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Druid, Pinot, Vertica)
- Distributed systems expertise: partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, query execution
- Fluency across modern data stack: Kafka, CDC pipelines, orchestration, object storage, BI tools, and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience running technical evaluations against named competitors and winning migrations
- Customer-facing experience with real stakes: pre-sales, consulting, TAM, or staff-level engineering roles
- Strong written and verbal communication across technical and executive audiences
- Comfort with longer enterprise sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Judgment to recommend alternatives when ClickHouse isn't the right fit
