Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual
DuploCloud is an Agentic Internal Developer Platform (IDP) for DevOps and platform engineering teams. The company enables teams to automate complex DevOps use cases as AI agents and deploy them across their organization in hours to days, rather than months. The platform runs fully self-hosted in customers' clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem) or DuploCloud-managed, and supports SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI compliance.
This is a customer-facing technical pre-sales role. You will work hand-in-hand with the Sales organization from initial technical conversations with prospects through successful proof of concept, deal conversion, and handoff to Onboarding and Forward Deployed Engineering teams. The core responsibility is understanding how prospects currently run operations and demonstrating concretely how DuploCloud solves their pain points.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead technical discovery conversations with prospects' DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, and engineering leadership to understand current ops workflows: environment provisioning, release shipping, Terraform and Kubernetes management, incident response, security and compliance enforcement, and identifying toil, bottlenecks, and risk.
• Map prospect workflows onto DuploCloud's 70/30 model: identify which parts are covered by built-in platform capabilities and Agent library, and isolate the custom, organization-specific piece requiring custom development.
• Design and build custom agents tailored to prospect use cases using the DuploCloud Coding Assistant and DevKit, defining policy models, writing skills, and generating workflow UX so prospects see their ops workflow running as a governed, multi-user agent.
• Deliver compelling live demos and scoped proofs of concept (PoC/PoV) on a laptop or in the prospect's cloud, proving value on real workflows and creating clear paths to technical wins.
• Perform detailed infrastructure assessments of prospects' existing environments and produce cost calculators, business ROI plans, and migration/implementation project plans.
• Own technical objection handling, architecture and security reviews, and build-vs-buy conversations with technical audiences and executives.
• Partner closely with Onboarding and Forward Deployed Engineering teams for successful handoff, carrying forward context and custom agents designed during pre-sales.
• Feed field learnings back to Product and Engineering; contribute reusable Agents, skills, and demo assets to the Agent library.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a solutions architect, cloud architect, DevOps/platform engineer, or SRE, including time spent working with both customers and internal teams in a pre-sales, consulting, or delivery capacity.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); on-prem infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, ECS, and similar container orchestration technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and similar Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, and of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD).
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), and working understanding of MCP, skills/prompt design, and LLM trade-offs such as model selection, token cost, and human-in-the-loop controls. You will use these daily to build custom Agents for prospects.
• Proven ability to run technical discovery: ask the right questions to map a prospect's workflows and pain points.
