Salary: USD 245,000 - 305,000 / annual
Cloudflare is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the sales team and help customers understand the value of the Cloudflare Developer Platform. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, combining deep technical expertise with business acumen to guide customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders on product capabilities, competitive positioning, and system design.
In this role, you will partner with sales to drive revenue and pipeline growth for AI and Developer Platform solutions. You'll lead technical discovery sessions with customers, architect best-practice solutions tailored to their needs, and present strategic recommendations to director and C-level executives. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and sales to drive developer platform adoption and provide structured feedback to inform product direction and content strategy.
Every day is different: you'll balance technical depth with business strategy, developing proofs of concept and demonstrations, designing innovative solutions, and acting as a bridge between customer needs and Cloudflare's product roadmap. You'll form a tight feedback loop with product and marketing teams to refine and evolve offerings.
The ideal candidate possesses a consultative mindset, demonstrable success working with customers, and deep practical knowledge of modern web technologies, cloud architecture, and distributed serverless platforms. You have natural curiosity, problem-solving instincts, and the ability to design elegant, efficient solutions. You can act as a trusted advisor while balancing technical and business needs, actively building and presenting technical solutions to varied audiences.
Up to 30% travel is required.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience selling or supporting technical sales in the cloud computing industry
- Deep technical expertise across cloud infrastructure and AI/ML; you have built production systems combining both as a solutions engineer, entrepreneur, or solution architect
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Practical knowledge and experience designing systems; you have built and deployed a production web application professionally or as a hobbyist and can clearly articulate design decisions and trade-offs
- Software development experience delivering full-stack applications, preferably using modern JavaScript frameworks, various databases, and serverless tooling; experience building with modern coding assistants
- Strong understanding of developer workflows (branching, versioning, CI/CD practices, system integrations)
- Knowledge of key market players and competitors in cloud computing, AI, and storage spaces
**Desirable Skills:**
- Experience building on Cloudflare Workers
- AWS Solutions Architect or GCP Cloud Architect certifications
- Track record of providing structured customer feedback to influence product direction
- Actively staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing
