Nearmap is seeking a Solutions Product Manager for Government to own the product strategy and execution for government-focused solutions. You'll work at the intersection of geospatial technology and public sector needs, partnering with senior product leaders to define requirements and priorities for solutions serving government agencies in property assessment, land development, public safety, portfolio management, and disaster response.
In this role, you'll serve as the Product Owner for a delivery stream, translating customer and business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the technical team. You'll own product metrics, analyze customer signals from call recordings and other sources, and lead backlog grooming and priority refinement. You'll become the internal authority on government use cases, workflows, pain points, and industry-specific challenges across multiple domains.
Relationship-building is central to this work. You'll regularly connect with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to surface customer pain points and upselling opportunities. You'll talk directly with customers to understand how they use Nearmap's products and identify new problems to solve. You'll share insights with stakeholders in ways that drive real action, connect with ecosystem partners (technology platforms, channel partners, analysts, media), and listen to sales and customer success calls to build deep understanding of customer priorities.
Nearmap provides geospatial intelligence through aerial imagery, AI-driven analytics, and tools that help government agencies, property professionals, insurers, and builders make decisive decisions about the built environment. The company values moving fast, caring about craft, and turning hard problems into real-world impact.

- Experience with geospatial data and its use in government (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with government procurement and how local, state, and federal entities work together
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to build, validate, and pitch compelling business cases in plain language, quickly and thoroughly
- Comfort with geospatial technology and remote sensing; ideally familiar with Esri, Autodesk, or Bentley products
- Ability to write sharp requirements that technical teams can execute immediately
- Track record of making things happen while juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Clear communication across cross-functional teams (written, verbal, and visual)
- Ability to extract real insight from messy, diverse data
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and genuine drive to influence revenue
- Analytical and personable; equally comfortable with data and with people across engineering disciplines
