M-Files is seeking a Solution Architect to join its Consulting Services team. You will serve as the customer's primary technical voice, leading discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design for enterprise document management and content management implementations.
In this role, you will:
**Discovery & Analysis**
Lead customer discovery sessions including requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to understand business goals, pain points, content types, and success criteria. Separate stated wants from underlying needs through probing questions and surface unstated requirements, assumptions, constraints, and risks early. Assess existing IT infrastructure, authentication, security models, data sources, and third-party systems to identify M-Files integration points. Document requirements clearly and traceably (business requirements, process maps, solution descriptions, UML diagrams) and validate with stakeholders. Use Claude daily to prepare for discovery, synthesize notes, draft documentation, and identify gaps. Identify where automation and AI agents can add value in customer workflows, advising on governance and data access.
**Solution Design & Delivery**
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in M-Files software and Systems Integration. Translate business requirements into technical solution designs for implementation by project consultants. Provide best-practice recommendations and coordinate with consultants on technical deployment aspects. Support all lifecycle phases: design, development, deployment, migration, QA, UAT. Oversee delivery validation against requirements and acceptance criteria. Produce technical documentation and train customer technical staff. Recognize when requirements exceed standard product capability and scope gaps clearly for R&D and Product Management.
**Team Contribution**
Mentor junior consulting team members. Build and share reusable discovery templates, requirements checklists, solution patterns, and Claude workflows. Support pre-sales scoping and identify expansion opportunities. Coordinate scope boundaries across Implementation, Managed, and Expert Services teams.
**Requirements**
- 5–8 years of corporate services consulting experience from management consulting firms, boutique consulting firms, or software firms with services practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred but not required)
- Proven requirements gathering experience in customer-facing consulting: facilitating workshops, eliciting needs, translating into documented requirements and solution designs
- Hands-on experience using Claude (Claude.ai, Claude Cowork, Claude Code) in daily work with judgment to verify output and protect customer data
- Working knowledge of AI agent and automation concepts applied to enterprise data, including governance and supervision
- Experience with document/content management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for business and technical audiences
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to listen and translate needs into actions
- Experience creating technical documentation (solution descriptions, requirements documents, UML diagrams)
- Knowledge of solution architecture, cross-application communication, and integration methodologies
- Experience across all lifecycle phases of enterprise IT solutions (specification, planning, design, development, delivery, rollout, training, operations)
- Ability to drive projects to completion, manage obstacles, and support multiple concurrent engagements
- Solution-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with Claude Projects, skills, connectors, or MCP integrations for consulting workflows
- Experience with M-Files or comparable enterprise content management platforms, including extensibility layer (vault applications, scripting, APIs)
- Business process analysis or business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP)
- Cloud-based technologies knowledge (Azure)
- Data governance or information security exposure
- Forward-deployed or embedded customer-facing role experience
- Pre-sales technical scoping and feasibility assessment experience
