Eli Health is developing Hormometer®, the first instant hormone monitoring platform that delivers saliva-based hormone results to a mobile app within minutes. The company has spent six years in R&D with 2,000+ product iterations and a dozen patent-pending innovations, positioning itself as a transformative health-tracking platform similar to how thermometers and glucometers revolutionized health monitoring.
You will join the product team as Software QA, serving as the voice of the customer and ensuring shipped features match design specifications and maintain high experience quality across releases.
Key responsibilities:
- Verify features against design specs and acceptance criteria, identifying gaps between design and implementation
- Own the bug backlog in Jira: reproduce, document, and prioritize issues to shrink rather than grow the backlog
- Maintain and expand the automated end-to-end test suite (Maestro) covering critical scenarios on iOS and Android
- Keep tests stable in CI pipelines (GitHub Actions): investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and flag real regressions quickly
- Perform manual testing on real devices to catch usability and edge-case issues automation cannot
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product to build quality into features before code is written
The role is full-time, in-person in Montreal, starting as soon as possible. You'll work with a small (<25 person), high-performing, diverse team in an early-stage startup environment with wide-reaching impact.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of relevant work experience
- Able to read and write code proficiently and learn a test automation framework
- Demonstrated engineering problem-solving (work, side, or school project you can discuss)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Based in Montreal and willing to work from the office
Nice to haves:
- Experience with mobile end-to-end frameworks (Maestro, Detox, Appium) or automated testing
- Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or React Native
- Experience with git and CI pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Experience reading design specs in Figma
- Interest in health or digital health
