Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion shoppers. The company enables digital payments infrastructure for major brands including eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony, with 20 offices across six continents.
You will serve as the technical owner throughout the partner integration lifecycle at Checkout.com. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discovery with partners and manage the selection and Statement of Work (SOW) process for System Integrators building new integrations
- Serve as the primary interface between partnerships and product/engineering teams, both internally and externally
- Provide subject matter expertise on platforms for merchants, assist with merchant RFPs and technical questions, and escalate issues to partner technical contacts
- Contribute strategic input to partnership and product teams on technology trends, integration gaps, future features, and platform product roadmaps
- Act as a technical evangelist for platform partners internally and externally
- Build integrations into tech stacks using APIs
- Execute debugging, UAT testing, and code reviews
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to bridge business and engineering perspectives. You'll work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with three days per week in the San Francisco office under a hybrid model.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Implementation Engineering, or similar role (payments industry experience is a bonus)
- Knowledge and experience working with eCommerce platforms, subscription management platforms, and ERPs
- High familiarity with API-based integration methods
- Development experience in frontend and backend web technologies such as JavaScript, PHP, C#, or similar languages
- DevOps experience from both technical and customer solutions perspectives
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain high-level concepts and drill into technical details with clarity
- Confident collaborating with product and engineering teams
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English
