JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the architectural evolution and engineering execution of its AI-powered unified IT management platform. The role focuses on Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Password Manager (PWM) capabilities, with responsibility for designing and maintaining scalable, highly available microservices that secure modern workforce identity, device, and access management.
Key responsibilities include:
**Architecture & Core Engineering:** Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using C#, .NET Core, Go, and TypeScript via gRPC and the ABP framework. Lead the technical direction of core platform components.
**Privileged Access Management:** Design and deploy enterprise-grade PAM/IDAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, HashiCorp Vault), enforcing Zero Trust principles, Least Privilege access, and SCIM protocol integrations.
**Delivery & Test Engineering:** Own end-to-end continuous delivery using Origin CI, Kargo, and WoK. Implement unit, functional, and Playwright E2E test suites alongside Performance, Scalability, and Reliability (PSR) testing.
**AI Adoption & Technical Leadership:** Champion the BMAD framework to establish governance for AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot). Mentor engineers, conduct RFC reviews, and build shared team skill libraries.
**Multi-Platform Development:** Build cross-platform services and native desktop applications (macOS, Windows, Linux) supporting complex enterprise user workflows.
**Observability & Operational Excellence:** Implement robust telemetry, logging, and tracing across microservices to monitor system health, reduce latency, and ensure SLA/SLO compliance.
**Technical Debt & Governance:** Partner with Product, Design, and Infrastructure teams to manage technical debt, refactor legacy components, and establish standardized engineering best practices.
**Incident Management:** Active participation in incident response, contributing post-incident reviews, and taking ownership for quick resolution.
The role includes on-call shift participation. Fluent English is required for interviews and internal business communication.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with proven leadership as a Lead Architect or Senior Staff Engineer in a modern product environment
- Deep expertise in C#, .NET (ASP.NET Core / ABP Framework), Go, gRPC, and RESTful APIs
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (DocumentDB) architectures
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and custom CI/CD automation pipelines
- Proficiency with automated testing frameworks, specifically Playwright for E2E automation and load/stress testing tools
- Direct experience establishing spec-driven AI development workflows in production teams
- Must be located in and authorized to work in India
