Salary: USD 160,000 - 210,000 / annual
Nimble Robotics is an AI robotics company building autonomous supply chain solutions to power fast, efficient, and economical commerce. The founding team includes leaders from Stanford and Carnegie Mellon, with board members including Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google), Marc Raibert (founder of Boston Dynamics), and Sebastian Thrun (founder of GoogleX and Waymo).
Nimble's Cloud Logistics software team builds an in-house suite of cloud-native solutions that drive operations and customer integrations. The platform includes Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Order Management System (OMS), Inventory Management System (IMS), and Returns Management System (RMS)—all native, in-house developed to streamline customer onboarding through a single integration.
As a Software Engineer III, you will work with a world-class cross-functional team to develop and build advanced robotic fulfillment systems. The Cloud Logistics team is lean (10 people) and core to delivering effective solutions to customers. The role is approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend focused. On occasion, the team works extended hours, including weekends, to launch large revenue opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop automation workflows with rigorous unit, integration, and system tests
- Push and maintain code in production
- Provide production support
- Measure and debug performance bottlenecks across the product suite
- Ship features end-to-end (frontend, backend, CI, infrastructure)
- Mentor junior engineers
No robotics or logistics experience is required for this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Solid understanding of cloud security practices
- Experience building full-stack cloud applications (frontend and backend)
- Experience with REST, SQL, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, message brokering, and Docker
- Good understanding of writing unit and integration tests
- Strong technical documentation skills (architecture diagrams and sequence diagramming)
