We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Analytics products team in Pune. You will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge cloud-based analytics applications running on our sophisticated Kubernetes (AWS EKS) hosted platform, powered by RxJava/Vert.x, called the Digital Network Platform (OPUS). Your work will directly support life sciences and pharmaceutical supply chain optimization and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop analytics solutions that help clients optimize supply chain operations and meet compliance regulations
- Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, architects, product managers, and engineers to design and implement analytics products
- Write clean, high-performance, and scalable code across multiple frameworks and languages as an individual contributor
- Work in fast-paced Agile teams, quickly learning and adapting to new tools and technologies
- Partner with QA teams on test planning and execution
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–4 years of professional experience writing SQL queries
- Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript
- Familiarity with AWS cloud data services: S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Elasticsearch, Kafka/Kinesis, SQS, SNS
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Strong grasp of event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures and algorithms
- Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams across US and India
- Excellent analytical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Preferred:
- Experience with JavaScript, GraphQL, Vert.x, or RxJava
- Knowledge of building agentic AI systems
- Experience with prompt/context engineering
