PDI Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer II to support and maintain market-leading software products serving convenience retail and petroleum brands globally. You will work as part of an agile team to identify and resolve software issues, optimize performance of enterprise solutions, and collaborate with product managers, product owners, and engineering leaders.
Key responsibilities include actively supporting and developing software solutions for PDI products; troubleshooting and resolving software issues with appropriate documentation; performing engineering-level testing to identify defects and debug production issues; partnering with Product Management on solution feasibility and effort estimation; preparing case status and risk assessments for management; using disciplined Agile approaches to analyze and determine solutions to technical challenges; working with Product Owners to clarify and estimate feature work; and providing after-hours support availability approximately one week every 3-4 months.
You will work across diverse environments, platforms, technologies, and languages, with particular focus on databases, C# code, web services, and hybrid cloud environments. This is an individual contributor role within a high-paced, focused engineering team.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years' experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment
- Proficiency required in one or more of: .Net and C#, SQL
- Proficiency in SQL performance troubleshooting and tuning (preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and Azure DevOps or Jira
- Practical experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
- Computer science fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures & algorithms
- Highly motivated self-starter with desire to help others and take action
- Ability to independently work as contributing member in high-paced team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work under pressure
- Ability to socialize ideas and influence decisions without direct authority
- Collaborative nature with strong desire to learn independently and through questioning

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
