Salary: USD 162,000 - 190,000 / annual

As a Software Engineer II, you'll join the Engineering team tackling hard technical problems that matter. The team builds systems that analyze billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers across the country. You'll work in an AWS + Kubernetes environment, constantly introducing new technologies as system load doubles annually. The company is aggressively embracing AI across all operations. Key responsibilities include: - Building, optimizing, and maintaining software systems using AI - Collaborating across disciplines to understand the healthcare domain and iterate on projects - Protecting user privacy and security through best practices - Contributing to a fast-paced startup environment with a generalist mindset The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software engineering experience with a generalist approach, familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance, and a commitment to high-performing, mission-driven teamwork. The tech stack includes Claude Code, Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, dlt, dbt, Python, TypeScript, React, and Go. This role is based in the New York City office (Financial District) with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
