Neo4j is a graph intelligence platform used by 84 Fortune 100 companies to transform data into knowledge for AI systems and intelligent applications. The Connectors team (6 engineers) builds integrations that enable Neo4j to connect with the broader data ecosystem, facilitating data movement from external systems into graphs and returning results to business systems. In this role, you'll design and architect connectors for Neo4j across diverse technological stacks including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, and Microsoft Fabric. You'll build and maintain connectors for widely-used big data and cloud data warehouse products (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse), enhance core database data ingestion capabilities, and occasionally develop frontends for customer interaction. The work spans backend components deployed on Kubernetes infrastructure and full-stack development when needed. You'll collaborate across teams to improve core database features and design new streaming/data ingestion APIs that make Neo4j faster and easier to use. The team values diverse skill sets and encourages applications from engineers with varied backgrounds. Required: 5+ years of production software development experience, expertise in multi-threaded systems and algorithms, and hands-on backend programming (Kotlin, Java, or Go). Ideal candidates have professional experience with distributed event streaming platforms (Kafka), data processing platforms (Spark, Beam), or cloud data warehouses. Nice-to-have: graph database experience, React/TypeScript frontend skills. Neo4j is one of the fastest-scaling tech companies, recently surpassed $200M ARR, and raised the largest funding round in database history ($325M Series F).
