Culture Amp is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join the Frontier team and build production-grade agentic AI solutions. You'll work at the intersection of applied AI research and product engineering, translating cutting-edge techniques into systems that solve real customer problems for the world's leading employee experience platform.
In this role, you'll design and implement agentic AI capabilities using frameworks like LangGraph for stateful, multi-turn conversations. You'll orchestrate data pipelines integrating workplace data (surveys, goals, performance reviews, feedback, 1-1 notes) into coherent context views. You'll build persistent memory across sessions and context graphs grounded in custom ontologies, alongside per-user relational and procedural memory.
Key responsibilities include building and evaluating effective RAG systems with pre-processing and hybrid search, owning end-to-end feedback loops from prompt engineering to evaluation at scale, and translating customer requirements into technical solutions. You'll partner closely with product, design, and people science teams, contribute to evaluation frameworks and bias testing for enterprise transparency and fairness, and create guardrails and safety mechanisms for production systems.
You bring proven commercial experience taking ML/AI systems to production, hands-on expertise with knowledge graphs and graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune), and production LLM evaluation experience including LLM-as-judge, eval datasets, and observability tools. You have experience designing and scaling production-grade multi-agentic systems, full-stack software development skills (Python, React, PGVector), and strong software engineering fundamentals. You're pragmatic and solution-focused, evaluating technology through the lens of scalable problem-solving rather than technical novelty.
