Insify is a Series B-backed insurance platform consolidating the complexity of multi-carrier, multi-product, multi-country insurance operations for SMEs across the Netherlands, Germany, and France. Rather than building one-off integrations for each carrier's specifications and regulatory requirements, Insify has built a unified platform where launching new products or markets becomes a configuration exercise.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Insurance Platform team, you will own significant technical components of this platform, working on the core systems that abstract away carrier-specific logic, underwriting rules, and regulatory complexity. You'll collaborate with product, underwriting, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable platform features.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing platform features that handle multi-carrier integrations and product configurations
- Building robust systems for underwriting rule engines, policy management, and regulatory compliance
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical architecture decisions
- Ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability across the platform
- Participating in code reviews and establishing engineering best practices
You should have strong backend engineering experience (likely in Python, Go, or similar), a track record of shipping complex systems, and ideally some exposure to financial services, insurance, or regulated industries. You're comfortable with ambiguity, can break down complex domain problems, and thrive in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
