Neo4j is a graph intelligence platform transforming data into knowledge for AI systems and intelligent applications. The Connectors team (six engineers) builds integrations that enable Neo4j to connect with the broader data ecosystem, facilitating data movement from external systems into graphs and returning results to business systems. You'll work across diverse technology stacks including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, and Microsoft Fabric. The team also builds backend components for the Data Importer product deployed on Kubernetes infrastructure, and occasionally develops frontends for customer interaction. In this role, you will: - Design and architect connectors for the Neo4j database - Build and maintain connectors for various technologies (cloud data warehouses, big data platforms, on-premise systems) - Design new streaming and data ingestion APIs to improve Neo4j usability - Collaborate across teams to enhance core database features - Occasionally develop frontends for connectors requiring user interaction You bring 5+ years of production software development experience, expertise in multi-threaded systems and algorithms, and hands-on backend programming (Kotlin, Java, or Go). Ideally, you have professional experience with distributed event streaming (Kafka), data processing platforms (Spark, Beam), or cloud data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse). Nice-to-have skills include graph database experience (Neo4j or SQL/NoSQL databases) and frontend development (React, TypeScript). The team values diverse skill sets and encourages applications from candidates with partial experience across these areas.
