Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company serving thousands of clinics with practice management and marketing tools. The Clinic Marketing team owns Jane Websites, which converts a clinic's setup into a marketing website, and is now exploring AI-powered website generation and analytics tools to help practitioners understand their marketing performance without requiring marketing expertise. You will lead a talented development team on zero-to-one product work—taking ambiguous ideas through prototypes to shipped features. You'll partner closely with product and design from the earliest conversations, shaping scope and defining data requirements. You'll stay technically engaged, guiding architecture decisions and helping the team make thoughtful tradeoffs as the product scales. You'll own delivery, maintain clear priorities, and help the team find the right pace between fast experimentation and deliberate execution. Your responsibilities include coaching developers on technical and professional growth, championing pragmatic AI adoption both in customer-facing features and team workflows, and helping every person on your team build their craft and career. You'll work in a collaborative triad model with product and design partners, getting into details early and shaping work together. Jane is a remote-first company with 800+ people across Canada, the US, and the UK. The company is growing fast and embracing AI to improve systems and customer experiences. The culture emphasizes clarity, empathy, accountability, listening to customer needs, and moving quickly to solve real problems. REQUIREMENTS: - Several years as a hands-on software developer, with subsequent growth into a people-management role leading a development team - Strong technical foundation; comfortable reviewing architecture, weighing tradeoffs, and guiding technical direction alongside senior and staff developers - Demonstrated experience taking at least one product from zero to one; comfortable with fast iteration and ambiguity in new product development - Deeply collaborative; enjoy working in a product/design/engineering triad and getting into details early - Proven coaching ability with concrete examples of helping team members grow - Ability to stay steady under pressure, take ownership, and move work forward to delivery - Experience using AI tools in your own work or with your team; a curious, practical perspective on where they add real value - Experience with marketing tools, website builders, or analytics products is a nice bonus but not required The posting notes: "If you don't meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you."
