Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies including Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. The company recently raised $1.5B in Series F funding and is building the platform engineers use to ship AI products. You will own how Baseten shows up on social media, with a primary audience of ML engineers, infrastructure teams, and technical founders who discover the company through X, LinkedIn, and other technical communities. This is a senior individual contributor role where you set strategy and write the posts yourself. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as the face of the Baseten brand across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and relevant technical communities - Monitor conversations in AI and open source, moving quickly to contribute when relevant - Develop and execute social strategy: determine what to post where, drive account growth, and measure impact with clear channel prioritization - Translate technical work into shareable content: model launches, benchmark results, open source releases, engineering deep dives, and customer outcomes - Lead the social component of product launches alongside product marketing, product, and engineering teams - Produce content including shooting and editing short-form video at events, in office, and during launches - Scale team voices by helping engineers, GTM, and leadership post authentically, including ghostwriting when appropriate - Report on follower growth, engagement, reach, and share of voice against goals; adjust strategy based on performance - Manage contractors and creators who extend output beyond individual capacity You will work cross-functionally with product marketing, comms, design, engineers, and founders. The role requires technical credibility—you don't need an engineering background but must understand technical claims and their significance, including details around latency, throughput, and GPU cost. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years running social for a technical, developer-facing, or B2B technology brand, primarily as the person writing and shipping posts - Demonstrated track record of growing accounts with specific examples of posts you wrote and why they resonated - Technical fluency to write accurately about inference, GPUs, and model performance; ability to ask engineers informed follow-up questions - Native fluency on X and LinkedIn with comfort producing short-form video - Experience managing brand accounts with sound judgment about what not to post - Comfort operating in fast launch cycles where plans change and reaction windows are short - Clear point of view on how AI companies show up online, with specific examples of who does it well
