Candescent is a fintech company transforming how financial institutions deliver intelligent banking experiences through digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions. They are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented SEO / AEO Specialist to grow organic search visibility and traffic from their India office location.
You will own hands-on execution across keyword research, on-page and technical optimization, and content collaboration, while tracking performance and translating data into clear recommendations. This is an execution-focused role where you report to the Web Strategy Manager and own the day-to-day work that delivers against their priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical & On-Page SEO:** Perform technical SEO audits covering site speed, crawlability, indexation, site architecture, structured data, and mobile usability. Partner with the web development team to resolve issues. Optimize existing pages and new content for on-page best practices including titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and schema markup. Ensure site changes and new page launches follow SEO best practices before going live.
**Research, Content & AEO:** Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and content gaps. Collaborate with content and marketing teams to plan search-friendly content aligned with search intent. Apply emerging Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) practices to improve visibility in AI-driven search surfaces such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. Support backlink and digital PR efforts that build domain authority.
**Measurement & Reporting:** Monitor and report on organic performance using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and SEO tooling. Track rankings, traffic, and conversion trends, and translate data into actionable recommendations. Present regular performance reporting and insights to stakeholders.
**Collaboration:** Work to the direction and priorities set by the Web Strategy Manager, flagging trade-offs and opportunities. Partner with web development, design, content, and demand generation teams. Stay current on search engine algorithm updates. Maintain a working schedule with sufficient overlap with US business hours on at least a few days each week.
**Requirements:**
- 6–9 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related role
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console
- Proficiency with SEO tooling such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Screaming Frog
- Familiarity with emerging AEO concepts and how AI-driven search surfaces are changing discoverability
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS and how site structure impacts search performance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills and comfort briefing content teams and writing optimized copy
- Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (equivalent professional experience considered)
**Preferred qualifications:**
- Experience with Webflow or other content management platforms
- Experience with structured data and schema markup implementation
- Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
- Experience supporting financial services, technology, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software brands
- Experience collaborating across geographies and time zones
