Skydio, the leading US autonomous drone company, is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to build world-class engineering teams across critical technical functions. This is a hands-on, strategic recruiting role based at the San Mateo headquarters with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office).
You will lead high-impact recruiting initiatives across niche, competitive skill sets including Software (Cloud, Mobile, Infrastructure), Autonomy (Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Planning & Controls), Hardware (Mechanical & Electrical Design), and Hardware Operations (Manufacturing, Supply Chain). You'll operate as the trusted recruiting advisor to hiring leaders and executive teams, influencing org design, headcount planning, and hiring strategy.
Key responsibilities include: building and curating high-quality talent pipelines; driving executive-level recruiting engagements from calibration through offer close; delivering exceptional candidate experiences at every touchpoint; partnering with People Ops, Compensation, and Finance to optimize headcount plans and hiring processes; championing structured, fair hiring practices; and mentoring fellow recruiters to continuously raise the bar on talent acquisition and retention.
You'll need deep expertise recruiting for one or more technical domains (software, autonomy, hardware, or operations), with demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level using data and market intelligence. You should be comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous hiring landscapes, balancing urgency with quality, and turning tough searches into wins. A blend of in-house and agency recruiting experience is preferred, along with a track record of building recruiting functions from the ground up. You'll be a thoughtful communicator with strong business acumen, equally fluent in engineering and talent strategy.
