Bitwarden, a trusted identity security leader, is undertaking a massive engineering modernization effort. The company is shifting from traditional output-driven SDLC to an outcome-driven AI-Led Product Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC), breaking down its legacy ASP.NET Core monolith into a scalable, modular service architecture and organizing engineering into cross-functional Unified Ownership Squads. As Principal Product Manager for Developer Foundations, you will serve as the product owner for internal AI enablement, DevOps, and internal tooling teams. Your customers are Bitwarden's own software engineers, product managers, and designers. Your mandate is to build the automated toolchains, paved paths, and platform tooling that enable Unified Ownership Squads to deliver software in a safer, speedier, and more predictable manner. Key responsibilities include: defining the Developer Foundations roadmap for internal developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automated quality gates; operationalizing the AI-Led PDLC by integrating AI capabilities (GitHub Copilot, AI-driven test generation, automated documentation) into developer workflows with human-in-the-loop guardrails; transforming traditional QA and SRE capabilities into scalable, automated platform services; partnering with Architecture and Engineering leadership to support the transition to event-driven modular platforms enabling independent, rapid deployment; managing intake and prioritization of internal tooling initiatives using data-driven Quarterly Commitments; and measuring business outcomes by tracking deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, escaped defects, and AI-assisted commit rates. You bring 7+ years of product management experience, with significant time leading Platform Tooling, Developer Productivity, DevOps, or Internal Tooling teams. You have proven experience evaluating, integrating, and governing AI-assisted development tools within secure software development lifecycles. You possess strong foundational understanding of modern distributed architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven messaging, with familiarity in C#/.NET, Rust, or similar environments. You understand DevSecOps practices and can build security and vulnerability scanning into initial design and continuous delivery pipelines. You excel at leading teams through ruthless prioritization and shifting cultures from measuring outputs to measuring outcomes. You communicate clearly with highly technical stakeholders including CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and Principal Architects.
