This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of IT Support. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert for workplace networking and AV technologies, establishing technical standards that will be replicated across future office locations globally. Your responsibilities span network infrastructure design and deployment (wired, wireless, routing, switching, WAN/ISP redundancy), enterprise AV environments (video conferencing, room scheduling, multi-zone audio, digital signage, room control), physical security technology (access control, cameras), and endpoint management (MDM platforms, provisioning, automation). Key responsibilities include designing and deploying the Toronto office network with redundant internet connectivity and automated failover; owning the physical security technology stack and partnering with the Security team on governance and compliance; designing, deploying, and optimizing AV and collaboration technologies across meeting spaces; mentoring Workplace Technology Specialists supporting regional offices; driving technology improvements and establishing engineering standards; and serving as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. You will own vendor relationships, technology evaluations, hardware standards, monitoring, and capacity planning. The role requires coordinating with vendors, contractors, and building management on office builds and major workplace technology projects. You'll evaluate emerging workplace technologies and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and employee experience. Required qualifications: 5+ years designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, Aruba); experience designing and operating enterprise workplace AV environments; experience administering MDM platforms and managing endpoint lifecycle; experience implementing and supporting physical security technologies; experience delivering new office builds or major workplace technology projects; experience building automation workflows and operational tooling; strong communication skills; willingness to travel. Bonus qualifications include experience in remote-first organizations, familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, and experience mentoring technical staff and establishing engineering standards across multiple locations.
