Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Warehouse Manager (internally titled Senior Materials Manager) to lead and optimize warehouse operations at their Costa Mesa facility. This role reports to senior leadership and owns the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all material management activities.
You will develop and implement comprehensive material management strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with federal regulations and Anduril's compliance requirements for government property. Key responsibilities include hiring and training warehouse personnel, developing processes that increase efficiency and reduce waste, and implementing systems that meet federal inventory management standards.
You will manage end-to-end material operations including FIFO adherence, inventory variance analysis, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, and physical audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstocking. You'll develop critical performance metrics and dashboards to track team and operational KPIs.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll work with procurement, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality teams to align demand forecasting, procurement planning, and material delivery with production schedules. You'll analyze material usage trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement lean practices to optimize handling, storage, and distribution.
You will leverage ERP and WMS software systems to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights. Compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols is non-negotiable, particularly in the defense aerospace context.
Leadership is central to this role: you'll build and develop a high-performing warehouse team, provide coaching and performance feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or business administration (or equivalent experience); 8+ years in material management, inventory control, or supply chain roles in aerospace/defense manufacturing; 2+ years managing supervisors, associates, or technicians; must be local to Costa Mesa or Santa Ana, CA.
Preferred: Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and OSHA compliance; hands-on warehouse troubleshooting and process development experience; familiarity with 5S, lean, or Six Sigma; experience with domestic and international shipping documentation; proven employee development and training track record.
