Salary: USD 78,000 - 111,000 / annual

Sweetgreen is a national restaurant brand on a mission to build healthy communities by connecting people to real food. The Senior Video Editor sits on the Commercial team and owns the craft and quality of video, photo, and motion content across social, web, and brand channels. In this hands-on, multidisciplinary role, you will serve as the go-to expert on post-production, partnering closely with designers, social, and brand leads. You will translate briefs and raw footage into engaging narratives, moving fluidly between high-volume social production and culturally relevant content. Key responsibilities include: - Own video editing and post-production across all channels from first assembly through final delivery, serving as the team's craft expert - Set the creative and technical bar for editorial work, defining pacing, tone, music, sound design, and visual rhythm - Independently translate briefs, scripts, and raw footage into clear, engaging narratives with strong editorial judgment - Lead development of hero edits, campaign films, social-first content, cutdowns, trailers, and recaps - Partner with creative and production leads before shoots to shape coverage, shot lists, and post-production needs - Create and evolve advanced motion graphics, typography, animation, and branded graphic systems - Own finishing standards including color correction, sound mixing, music, captions, and quality control - Define and maintain efficient post-production workflows, templates, naming conventions, and asset-management systems - Mentor and give creative direction to junior editors, freelancers, and production partners - Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining consistently high quality standards - Stay ahead of emerging editing styles, platform behaviors, and new production tools Desired traits: Master storyteller with authoritative creative judgment; self-starter who raises the bar; able to articulate editorial choices with clear strategic rationale; highly collaborative; organized and adaptable; trusted resource for craft and problem-solving; passion for food, culture, and sustainability. Requirements: - 6+ years producing multimedia content, preferably in-house or agency - Demonstrated ownership of high-visibility video and photo work for social and brand channels - Proven ability to shoot and edit video and photo across formats and platforms - Advanced motion design and animation skills (After Effects or similar) - Deep proficiency in Premiere Pro and the Adobe suite - Experience setting standards and workflows or mentoring other creators is a plus
