The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering fleet-scale advanced nuclear reactor deployment. The Senior Vice President, Deployment is the company's fleet-level owner of nuclear project execution from FEL-3 (final pre-FID development) through fuel load and commissioning. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for building deployment capability from the ground up—establishing systems, processes, standards, and teams that enable TNC to execute nuclear construction projects at scale.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Deployment Methodology & Fleet Capability—developing repeatable, credible, and continuously improving deployment processes and standards across all TNC projects; (2) EPC Contractor Relationships—managing engineering, procurement, and construction partnerships and vendor performance; (3) Construction Execution—overseeing on-site project delivery, schedule management, cost control, and quality assurance; (4) Commissioning Capability—building and leading the technical team responsible for reactor commissioning and fuel load activities; (5) Organizational Development—recruiting, developing, and scaling the deployment team as the company grows; (6) Cross-functional Collaboration—working closely with SVP Project Development during FEL-3 transition and SVP Operations during fuel-load handoff; (7) AI & Technology Integration—leveraging the Nuclear Operating System (NOS) and AI tools to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and enhance execution quality.
The role operates within TNC's Build-Own-Operate model, where deployment capability is critical to credibility and competitive advantage. This is not a single-project role but a strategic infrastructure-building position. The SVP, Deployment owns projects from FID through commissioning, then transitions accountability to operations. Reporting lines may evolve as the organization matures, but the scope and accountabilities remain central to company success. The ideal candidate combines deep nuclear or large-scale industrial project experience with demonstrated ability to build scalable operational systems, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
